Specializing in comprehensive care for the body, it has provided treatment for a long period of time. Treatment is performed by the Director, as well as skilled staff, in pursuit of health and beauty based on their high-level knowledge and experience.
It is an acupuncture and moxibustion salon foreign artists, Hollywood stars, famous entertainers, and those involved with medical services also access privately. As we receive a large number of those from other countries, we can also attend our clients in English.
■ CONCEPT
We provide treatment combining Oriental medical approaches, represented by digital compression, acupuncture, and moxibustion, and various manual therapeutic techniques in consideration of individual clients’ conditions and desires to accommodate their needs.
For not only health promotion, but also cosmetic purposes, we also perform personalized treatment combining cosmetic acupuncture and training to comprehensively support our clients’ health and beauty.
We aim to help them fundamentally improve their physical constitutions through treatment integrating herbal medicine, acupuncture, and moxibustion.
■Acupuncture
‘Acupuncture and moxibustion’, originated in China as a field of Oriental medicine, are traditional Japanese medical techniques. In the former, thin metal needles (with a diameter of approximately 0,14mm – hair-thin) are inserted into affected areas of the body or acupoints. Such needles are hair-thin (with a diameter of 0.12 to 0.44 mm and a length of 30 to 80 mm).
Why is acupuncture effective?
What is the mechanism by which acupuncture shows a favorable effect?
> Stimulation with acupuncture needles inserted into acupoints activates the autonomic nervous and immune systems, consequently boosting the natural healing power by reducing tension and promoting circulation/metabolism.
Why does not acupuncture cause pain?
> In general, pain is perceived when needles are stuck into the skin. However, in acupuncture, very thin and elastic needles with a diameter of approximately 0.14 mm are used. Therefore, the therapy rarely causes perceivable pain.
■ Moxibustion
In moxibustion, thermal stimulation is applied to acupoints using moxa. There are 2 types of moxibustion: direct and indirect. While moxa is directly placed and burnt on the skin surface in the former, a space is left between moxa and the skin in the latter. Why is moxibustion effective?
> Moxibustion improves circulation by applying thermal stimulation to acupoints or affected areas of the body. This promotes the secretion of immunity substances in the blood, as well as hematopoiesis, leading to improvements in body functions and resistance.
Why does not moxibustion generate heat?
> Non-scarring, non-thermal moxibustion is the recent mainstream.
> Moxa does not require high-temperature heat to be burnt. It is made from dried mugwort that abundantly contains netiol as a volatile essential oil component, allowing such a low burning temperature.
■ Cosmetic acupuncture (for the face and heard)
There are also a large number of the major acupoints on the head.
Needle insertion into the facial surface improves the physical balance while showing therapeutic effects, such as reducing deep wrinkles and dark spots on the face, lifting up the face, and removing dullness. In short, it is a highly effective anti-aging approach.
At the Hiro Clinic, cosmetic acupuncture is performed after facial and Kassa massages, and this produces synergistic effects, such as enhancing the ability of the skin to regenerate. In this method, plaster masks are also used to tighten the entire face and regenerate the skin, while acupuncture needles are inserted into the main points of the face to make the most of the natural recuperative powers of the human skin and muscles.
Such a gentle approach to the deep layers of the facial skin and muscles is effective to stimulate the lymphatic system and acupoints in deep tissue, which are difficult to identify manually, and achieve the following effects:
